The OYC Sailing School
One of the most exhilarating sports, sailing combines physical exercise with an understanding of aero- & hydrodynamics,
teamwork and the strategies of chess into hours and days of excitement or serenity. If you occasionally dream of sailing around the world, of chartering a catamaran in the Caribbean, or just windsurfing on Creve Coeur Lake, our American Sailing Association (ASA) certified sailing school is just the answer for you.
The OYC is conveniently located near Hwy 54 at the beautiful Lake Of The Ozarks, one of the most desirable recreation spots in the Midwest.
Programs
Under the great leadership of ASA-certified chief instructor Donald Ressel - a retired airline captain & flight instructor - our sailing school programs are based on the ASA’s guidelines leading to internationally recognized
certifications for bareboat chartering of sailboats around the world.
Our school boats cover a wide spectrum from the exhilarating 9-ft Open Bic, to the 14-ft Olympic class Laser, a 24-ft C&C cruiser-trainer, and the club’s 39-ft flagship C&C racer cruiser.
